Palo Santo, what do you know??

  • admin

Today I got a bottle of Palo Santo in the mail as a gift. It is my first time ever meeting this herb.

A little google search tells me it's used for purification and spiritual protection. Burned as a holy smoke incense or as an essential oil it can be used on the body and for cleansing your space.

It also tells me it's a restaurant in NYC lol.

Anyone have any direct experience??

Love, Kiki

I got a gift of a bottle of the essential oil.  When I opened and took a sniff, it was almost an out-of-body experience.  I love it.

From the website at Sunrose Aromatics:

A distant relative of Frankincense, Palo Santo is used by Shamans in South America and traditionally used to purify and cleanse the spirit from negative energies. Spiritually can be beneficial for meditation.

Traditionally this wood was used as incense for repelling mosquitoes.

Thanks Tina! It does have the level of power of Frankincense but such a deep tone! I like it a lot but more for inhalation than on my body......just had the idea to diffuse it.....yup, that sounds good!
