Last month, we noticed that there were two herbalists sitting at the top of our “high sellers” list on Poppy Swap. We investigated and found out they had A LOT more in common! For years, these two have been studying herbal medicine, hosting herb walks, and building community together on the East Coast. We even found pictures of them on Facebook sitting in the same tree! Well, it’s Fall in New England. If you can’t get there to see the leaves change, we are happy to bring these lovely ladies to you.
Here are our Top Sellers for the month of September and their popular herbal offerings on Poppy Swap!
Darcey Blue was one of the first herbalists we met on Poppy Swap. We love her Herbal CSA which is a great way to learn about herbs and build your home pharmacy. Her popular Tea of the Month Club delivers a new flavor of hand blended tea to your doorstep every month! Its an excellent gift for the collector or connoisseur.Darcey says: “Making delicious and effective herbal productsis my passion, and I’m proud to bring you these creations infused with love and magic of the greenworld.”
Here is her latest Poppy Swap special:
Ananda asks: “Have you ever looked so closely at a flower that you realized there was a whole world existing inside that flower? That’s what I’m about.” Click here to read a full interview we did with Ananda as one of our Poppy Swap Featured Herbalists.
Here’s what she says about being a “top seller” with Darcey Blue.

“Beautiful serendipity! I am very lucky indeed to have such an amazing herb friend go out in the woods with. We get each other outside, feed each other amazing food, and challenge each other to be better herbalists. Darcey and I met almost 10 years ago on the Sage Mountain forum, and then continued years of conversation on the Susun Weed forum and in personal correspondence. We finally got to meet in person when Darcey moved to New England, January of 2010 and it was so sweet, more like a reunion than a meeting. We worked together that Spring at Great Hollow Wilderness School and Darcey would drive three hours a week from Keene, NH and stay with me for two days. We would tandem cook and make infusions for the next day, and assist each other’s class planning. I kept her up too late talking about life, and she inspired me to be a better cook. Now that she plans to return to AZ, I hope I can be successful enough to fund my own visits to her land, and continue our journey for a very long time.
I’m totally honored to share this feature with Darcey Blue! Love you Banjo Babe!”
Thank you ladies! And congratulations on your Poppy Swap success. For all those interested in learning more:

After years of activism in Vermont, Susan moved to her family's home in Fryeburg, Maine with views of her beloved White Mountains where she grew up, to dig in the Earth, learn from the healing plants and trees, and replenish her spirit. The first thing she did was put in a large, organic garden that has grown and evolved over the years into a beautiful and enchanted space, a mix of flowers, healing herbs, veggies, "weeds", rocks, crystals, and many surprises. Her land is bordered by huge white pines, large maples, and the old course of the Saco River. After years of sharing her creams, salves, and other herbal creations with family and friends, she created Gaia's Garden Herbals to offer them to the public. Everything is made in very small batches with only the best ingredients, often from her garden or wild-harvested nearby, and lots of love.
